Acrylic Face Mount Limited fine art pieces are billed at packing and freight cost, with most if not all included in purchase price. See product page for details.
Q. How long does it take to produce and ship my artwork?
A. All art is custom produced to order. It takes about 4 business days to produce most canvas and aluminum products. Please note: orders received on the weekend are not processed until Monday. Shipping time varies by location but averages 3-4 days. Acrylic Face Mount Limited fine art pieces are produced locally in San Diego County and average 10 days in production.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Online orders cannot currently ship artwork outside of the US, with the exception of US Military APO/FPO addresses. Please contact us for personal attention with international sales.
Q How durable is my product?
A. All artwork features the longest lasting inks and UV protection coating for many years of enjoyment. Aluminum and Acrylic Mounted prints feature longevity that surpasses a normal photo print.Canvas prints are built by labs hand-chosen by the artist to ensure that the artwork is of highest quality and longevity. Do not allow any type of photographic artwork to be displayed in direct sunlight.
Q. I slightly scraped the edge of my canvas while moving, how can I fix?
A. Since the edges are all black by default, a permanent-type black marker will usually do the trick! In the unlikely event that you damage the face of the canvas, Copic brand markers, found in arts and craft stores, have a great reputation.
Q. Can I add a frame to my canvas? How about a wire or d-rings?
A. On our premium fine art canvas products, yes. They can be framed and modified by your local framer due to our premium, sturdy wood frame construction.
Q. Can I clean my artwork?
A. If your canvas does gather any dust, you may wipe it off gently with a clean, damp cloth. Light dusting is always fine. Aluminum prints are very durable and scratch resistant. Should more than dusting be required, we recommend using a damp soft cloth. Acrylic art should only be cleaned using microfiber or very soft cotton. Please use special plastic cleaners designed for acrylic like Novus. This will be supplied to you with local delivery. We use Novus, available here on Amazon.
Q. Are canvas products screen printed like t-shirts?
A. No, these are printed using the fine art giclee inkjet process using an 8 color ink set for maximum color and clarity! Giclee canvas wraps will provide decades of viewing pleasure!
Q. Will I need wall anchors for installation?
A. Not likely with canvas or aluminum. 16" canvas panels weigh only 1.5 pounds. Our largest 36" panels weigh under 7 pounds and are typically supported by 2 hangers or a french cleat. Acrylic pieces are heavier and at least 2 wall anchors or stud connections are usually recommended to support their weight.
Q. Do I need to install any hardware to hang my artwork?
A. No, artwork is ready to hang. Picture hangers, nails, drywall screws or light anchor bolts will be required for your wall, depending on product.
Q. What size should I purchase?
A. Very few people want a smaller TV. Just like a big screen TV, you should get the largest size that works in the space that you have available and with your budget.
Q. Can I order these in custom sizes or photo prints?
A. Sorry, no customization or options on this website. You may find what you need in the exclusive collection at www.shayart.com or contact us at the contact link above.
Q. Would SD Squares be good in a hallway?
A. These are great in hallways! The 2 smaller sizes are recommended. Prints look best when you can "back away" enough to see the whole image. It is difficult to get far enough away from a 36" square in a hallway.
Q. I see your logo sometimes on your images. Will my artwork arrive with a logo or signature on it?
A. No logos or signatures appear on final products.
Q. How do canvas photo prints differ from a normal print on photo paper or HD Aluminum?
A. Photo paper is very smooth compared to genuine artist's canvas. The canvas material adds a visible texture to the image due to the weave of the fiber. When viewed up close, it adds a pleasant, unique dimension to the artwork. From a normal viewing distance, the canvas creates a subtle, soft painterly feel. Some people remark that certain images almost look a little like a painting when printed on canvas.
Q. My canvas image wraps around the face a tiny bit onto the side edge, is this normal?
A. Yes, there is around an 1/8" of variance at the edge of the canvas. With the black edges of the canvas wrap, this ensures that if you accidentally damage or scuff your artwork, it will blend in better at the edge and be less noticeable than if it were on pure black.
